My name is Maihkel Eklund and I live in the middle of Sweden. 
I work full-time as a knife maker and artist.  
My source of inspiration has always been the nature. The subjects of my art will mostly be birds and animals or landscapes.
I have made knives since late seventies and since 1995 I work full-time. As an artist it's my aim to develop my profession as a knife maker. These involves  learning scrimshaw, a technique that reminds me of the copper engraving which I have worked with as an artist. Engraving also tempts  me. 
I like the thought of making all details of the knife  by myself, because of that I also do my own engraving. 


Member  of  Scandinavian Knife makers Guild, Swedish knife maker association,  Norwegian knife maker association and Danish knife maker association.
